Kelham hall, Nottingham

Complex shapes and extreme changes of level and angle demonstrate the flexibility of mechanically fixed single ply systems.

The shapes, planes and angles meeting around this unsupported concrete dome give a constantly changing and infinitely variable surface on which to work.

The ability of single ply to follow the most complex of shapes is amply demonstrated by the successful completion of this unusual project.

The main dome area was waterproofed using pre cut 'orange peel' segments mechanically attached to the 'deck' and heat welded together at joints and laps to make a tailored envelope over the domes surface.
